SAGE is now Global Knowledge Partner for the Academy of Indian Marketing

We were delighted to hear from our colleagues in SAGE India that a landmark Memorandum of Agreement was signed last month between the Academy of Indian Marketing and SAGE India, meaning that SAGE will be the exclusive Global Knowledge Partner for AIM between 2012 to 2016. The MOA was signed by Prof. Jagdish N. Sheth, Founder – Chairman of AIM and Charles H. Kellstadt Chair of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, USA and Mr. Vivek Mehra, MD & CEO, SAGE India at the International Marketing Conference.

Aarti David, PR Manager at SAGE India, writes:

SAGE will work closely with AIM towards the dissemination of unique marketing perspectives on emerging markets including India. SAGE will also assist AIM to become a catalyst between the academics and practitioners in creating and spreading contemporary perspectives and empirical research among the global audience–through research and events.

Post signing of the MOA, Prof. Sheth–one of the top 50 thinkers of the contemporary world–said that this was a natural association between two leading and dynamic institutions and he along with the other board members of AIM would look forward to witness a tremendous synergy between the two organisations, which in turn would be extremely beneficial towards understanding of contemporary research and practice in the discipline of Marketing. On this momentous occasion, Mr. Vivek Mehra said, “The Academy of Indian Marketing and SAGE partnership is a strategic one. One is an institution striving for excellence in marketing research, the other a global disseminator of such research. The signing of the agreement is historical because it took place at an IIM and is the first step in establishing centres of excellence in research across the country. The Prime Minister too has recently mentioned that India’s contribution in global research has fallen. I am deeply indebted to Prof. Jagdish N. Sheth for choosing SAGE and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

SAGE India will be an active participant in the forthcoming 6th Indian Marketing Summit (New Delhi, 27-28 April, 2012) to be organised by AIM in association with the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Birla Institute of Management and Technology (BIMTECH).
