Update: Corwin’s First Parenting Book Wins Bronze Award

In April of this year, SAGE Connection announced that Corwin’s first parenting book, Preparing Children for Success in School and in Life: 20 Ways to Increase Your Child’s Brain Power, by Marcia L. Tate was a finalist for the 2011 ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards. Now we are happy to report that the book won the bronze award in the parenting books category. The announcement was made at the 2012 American Library Association in Anaheim, California.

The awards were selected by a group of librarians and booksellers who are experts in parenting.

We asked Corwin’s president, Mike Soules, to tell us how Corwin feels about Marcia Tate’s award. Mike said, “A parent is a child’s first teacher. As an independent educational publisher, Corwin is committed to publishing quality books for educators of all types, whether they teach children in a classroom or in the home we are pleased that our first book for parents has been recognized by ForeWord Reviews.”
